WINE SERVICE by Zenobia Renquist

WINE SERVICE by Zenobia Renquist

Professional Courtesy Book 1

She offers satisfaction above and beyond what is requested.

Lexie's job as a housekeeper at a five-star hotel doesn't normally include the unique and risqué form of room service that important hotel guest Mr. Malena has requested, nor the generous tip he's offered. Lexie can't resist, and what should have been a one-time thing turns into an introduction into the sensual world of customer satisfaction. She finds much enjoyment in her "work," but is it worth risking her job?

Excerpt:

“Five hundred.” He added five more twenties to the pile.

“Mr. Malena, please stop offering me money. I’m not going to do it.”

“This isn’t a setup. I’m an old man looking for a little entertainment and willing to spend an obscene amount of money to get it.” He picked up the stack and fanned it at her. “On you, if you let me.”

Lexie didn’t know what to say to get through to him. She didn’t know why she was trying. She should leave and be done. But she couldn’t deny the lure the five hundred dollars presented.“You’re not that old. You look like you’re in your forties. Late forties at the most.”

“Bless you, my dear. For that, I’ll throw in an extra twenty.” He added it to the stack and held it out to her. “Five hundred and twenty dollars to give an old man a thrill. No tricks. No traps. No chance of getting caught.”

“Except that I’ve been here too long as it is.” God help her, she was actually considering it. When had her moral compass skewed so far off center that she was willing to commit sex acts for money? This went beyond stripping and straight into porn. Live porn. How much did porn stars get for masturbation scenes?

That line of thinking proved Lexie had lost her mind. Fatigue from a long workday had addled her mind. She needed to leave. Turn, walk out the door, and never return.“I’m a VIP guest,” Mr. Malena said. “I could keep you here all night, and your boss wouldn’t say a word for fear of upsetting me. I’ve met her, your boss. Charming woman, if a little too stick-up-her-ass for my tastes.”

Lexie bit back a giggle. She agreed but didn’t say so.

“If she asks, tell her I wanted you to play cards with me. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve monopolized her staff for petty reasons. I had two valets and a server in my room for most of the afternoon, and she didn’t say a word.”

“That was you?”

“Indeed it was. I gave them all generous tips as well. Not nearly as generous as this.” He fanned the bills again. “But much more than their usual.”

Ryver came awake with a startled scream. The man touching her inner thigh moved his hand higher. She struggled against him and tried to get away but he had hold of her ankle.
"Theron!"

"Here."

She froze. In the darkness she could just make out Theron's features on the man attacking her. The glint of something red at Theron's throat caught her eye.

The docility charm was red.

It had failed.

The complete horror of that realization kept her paralyzed.

Theron smiled at her, flashing his fangs in the dim light. "I do believe you asked what I would do to you if I were free. Shall I show you, Ryver?" He used her ankle and pulled her closer to him.

Fear kept her from answering or even trying to escape.

The charm had failed.

Theron was loose.

She should have taken him back. She shouldn't have trusted some stupid green glow over her common sense. She should never have gotten him in the first place.

Theron leaned into her. Only then did she try to move away.

She pushed at Theron's face and kicked her free leg, hoping to hit something sensitive. He still had one of her ankles trapped in his grip, and her body was half pinned beneath his, though he braced most of the weight on his other hand which was planted firmly on the bed next to her waist. Her struggles didn't faze him. Theron chuckled as he continued his descent. His mouth was aimed for her throat.

He planned to bleed her dry.

At least it wouldn't be a painful death.

She hoped.

ON THE TRAIL by Zenobia Renquist

ON THE TRAIL by Zenobia Renquist

Guardian's Tales 3

He's a dog with a bone and she knows just where to bury it.

Tracy has a stalker who is dredging up a past best left forgotten so he can torment her with it. She hires Kaiser, a dog-shifter, to track the culprit and mete out justice.

While a guard dog seems like a good idea, Tracy finds out Kaiser also makes an excellent lap dog. She knows she cannot keep him, but that is no reason not to enjoy him until he leaves.

~Excerpt~

Tracy turned her face up to the showerhead, enjoying the simulated rain in the privacy of her own bathroom. She didn't care if some of the water seeped into the edges of her tight bun. She planned to see her beautician about a touch-up for her relaxed, mid-back length, black hair over the weekend. Two days of wearing a scarf as a headband would hide the kinky roots resulting from her indulgence.

The soothing hot water trailing over her mattered most, removing all the tension from her workday. Meetings on top of meetings on top of even more meetings. Whoever said it was good to be the king -- or the boss in this case -- never had to put up with as much paperwork as her.

The cooling water signaled the end. She debated turning the knob toward hotter to prolong her stay but it was already at the farthest point. She'd run out the hot water heater, which meant she had to get out.

She spun the knob to the off position and then pushed back the shower curtain. The rack where her towel should be was empty. Likewise the stack of folded, clean towels that should be sitting on the low shelf next to the tub in case of situations like this was also empty.

"Kaiser!"

The large German shepherd poked his head into the bathroom door with her towel hanging from his mouth and a doggy grin on his face.

Tracy held out her hand. "Give it."

He backed up a step.

"Now, Kaiser."

He tossed his head, waving the towel at her.

"I'm not playing. I'm tired. Just bring it here. I don't want to drip water on the floor."

Kaiser left the doorway.

"Damn it, Kaiser!" Tracy brushed off as much of the water as she could before stepping onto the bath rug. She preferred drying off while standing in the tub. Kaiser knew that. "Come back here."

The cool air pumping from the vents raised goose bumps along her arms when she entered her bedroom. So much for her relaxing shower. Now she was shivering and pissed.

"Kaiser." She looked around but the dog was nowhere to be seen. "Give me back my towel before I have you fixed." She walked around the bed, expecting to find his wagging tail sticking out from under the bed skirt, giving away his location. If he got dust bunnies on her clean towel...

He wasn't there.

Tracy sucked her teeth as she looked around again. He had to be here somewhere. He wouldn't leave the bedroom. That was taking the game too far and he knew that. The only other place he could be was the walk-in closet.

"Kaiser, come out." Tracy pushed the door open and reached for the light switch bedside the frame. She flipped it up but the light stayed dark. "Oh, come on." She flipped it up and down a few times before giving up. The light bulb was blown or Kaiser had sabotaged it.

She was done playing hide-and-seek. She was almost dry and getting dressed would speed along the process. "Stupid dog. I should take you right back."

A strong arm grabbed her around the waist and pulled her into the rack of hanging shirts. She squeaked but didn't fight as a hot, naked chest pressed against her back.

Kaiser asked in a low rumble close to her ear, "Now, why would you want to take me back?"

"You're a pain in my ass." And he was ruining her plans for the evening, though she kept that last part to herself.

"Not yet, I'm not." He rubbed his free hand over her ass. "But I can be if you want."

"Let go." Tracy tried to pull away but Kaiser's hold was firm, like always. She was no match for his strength.

"You sure that's what you want?" Kaiser hugged her closer, sandwiching his erection between them.

Tracy swallowed as her libido overrode her fatigue. "Why did you take my towels?"

"I wanted you wet." He slid his hand between her legs and tickled the tips of his fingers against her damp pussy lips. "And you are."

"That's from my shower."

"I don't think it is." His breath fanned over her ear a second before he licked it. "I smell your desire. Why do you always deny it?"

"Why are you always horny?" Tracy's voice hitched when Kaiser nudged her clit.

"I'm a dog. What's your excuse?"

"I --" Her clipped moan of pleasure at Kaiser delving a single finger into her channel cut off her words. Tracy shifted, stirring herself around it.

It wasn't fair how quickly Kaiser could make her forget everything except the pleasure he could give her. She needed to tell him no and to back off. Instead she inched her feet apart while rolling her ass over his dick and dropping her head to his shoulder.

"Mmmmm, nice and wet now. Good girl. Good, good girl."

"Stop it," she snapped, hating when he used doggy speak. She hated more how her nipples tightened and her inner muscles clenched when he did it.

He nipped at her earlobe as he pumped his finger faster. "Somebody is grumpy. What's the matter, girl? Want a treat? Hm? Does my good girl want a treat?"

"Shut up."

"Now, now. Be a good girl. You want your treat, don't you?" He paused long enough to add a second finger and then buried them inside her with a speed that had her juices squishing. "You're drooling already. Soaking my hand and squirming. If you aren't good, I'll make you beg for it."

Brian escorted Darah through a gate in the perimeter fence and up to the base of the tree. He pointed to a gap in the roots that created a hidey-hole big enough for Darah's petite form. "Stay close to this spot. If you hear someone coming, duck into it. My buddy Adam is the one who will get you out. He's a bat like me. Good ears. Just whistle when you want to leave and he'll come get you. You do know how to whistle, right?"

"Yeah."

"Nothing fancy. Just a plain whistle."

"Got it."

"Good luck and don't get caught."

"Thanks and I won't." Darah waved at his retreating back and then faced the tree. "It's just you and me now, handsome. What should we talk about?"

The tree didn't answer. Darah hadn't expected it to. Guardian had warned her this would be a tough case. The tree hadn't spoken in decades. Guardian had said it had been hibernating all that time but she wanted to wake him to make sure of his health. That made Darah his alarm clock.

How was she supposed to wake up a tree? Splash him with water? Pull his branches? Knock on his trunk? If she could get to his trunk. The vines were thicker than she'd thought and surrounded the tree like a dense rope curtain.

Staring at them made Darah shiver. They were almost like something out of a horror movie. She felt like they would grab her any second. That was silly. Trees with inhabiting spirits weren't hostile unless provoked. There were no exceptions. So long as she didn't act threatening, the tree wouldn't harm her.

"How do I wake you up? Do I just keep talking until you tell me to be quiet, because I can do that." She had pulled in a breath to make good on her threat when heavy footsteps on the rock walkway stopped her.

She rushed over to the hidey-hole and crawled into it, hoping there were no bugs calling it home. It was a tight fit even for Darah's small frame but she managed to squeeze in. Several of the branches pulled at her pixie-cut hair and scraped her skin. It felt as if a few drew blood. Or maybe that was sap from the tree dripping down her arm. Whichever the case, she ignored it to listen to the guard as he walked past.

The beam of his flashlight played over the spot above Darah's head. She hunkered down more and hoped her clothes weren't sticking out. Her medium brown skin and dark blue jeans might blend with the shadows but her white shirt was a dead giveaway. If she had known she would be playing hide-and-seek for this assignment, she would have dressed for the occasion.

The guard took his time strolling around the perimeter fence. Was he taking in the sights or something? A fine sheen of sweat coated Darah's body. She wanted to tell him to hurry the hell up, except that would defeat the purpose of hiding. Her need for the man to leave became more urgent when something brushed against her leg.

She thought it might be a root resituating itself because she moved her foot but whatever it was rubbed against her calf in a deliberate manner. It slid down to her ankles and curled around her bare skin above her sock.

Darah bit back a scream. A snake. There was a snake in here with her. A snake that had decided her pant leg was a nice nook to call home. She shook her leg to jar it free but the snake continued its upward path.

Fuck this! Guardian didn't pay her enough to mess with snakes. Darah scrambled out of the hole, not caring if the guard was still there or not. He wasn't, which was good because Darah all but jumped out of her pants to get rid of the snake.

She pushed her jeans to her ankles while slapping at her left leg. The snake was gone so far as she could tell. She couldn't see it and wasn't sure she wanted to. After indulging a full-body shiver of revulsion, she started to pull up her jeans. The last thing she needed was to get caught with her pants down. Nothing she could say would ever explain it well enough to keep her from being arrested for public indecency.

Something thick and long circled her waist. Darah had time for a frightened squeak before it yanked her back into the curtain of vines, which closed around her. She struggled to get free but the vines coiled around her arms and legs.

The tree was awake. Good. Great. Mission accomplished. She didn't know how she'd done it, but job over. Too bad the tree didn't think the same. The vines continued wrapping themselves around her body. Some of them slipped under her shirt. The vines pushed her bra out of the way and started circling her bare breasts.

The tips nudged her nipples, teasing them into taut peaks that tingled with a growing desire that made no sense to her. She should be freaked out, not turned on. The vines rubbing against her panty-clad slit added to her contradictory reaction. As much as she wanted to deny it, the teasing was getting her excited.

Just her luck she got the tree that wakes up horny. That wasn't why she was here though. Excited or not, she couldn't let this happen. "Hold on a second. This isn't that kind of party, mister. Let me go."

If the tree heard her, it didn't act like it and continued fondling her body. Darah hated to admit it but the tree was good with his vines. The ones between her legs had located her clit and stroked it through her panties.

Darah wet her lips, trying to ignore her reaction to the stimulation. She was not so hard up in the sex department that a little clit tickling should make her forget she was in the middle of a garden and there were security guards patrolling. It shouldn't, but the vines made a good case. The moisture gliding down her channel to coat her lower lips was testament to her willingness to hear them out.

"Ca-can we talk about this? Guar-Gua-G... Mmmmm." One of the vines edged her panties out of the way and touched her clit directly. The bolt of pleasure from that gentle touch rendered her momentarily speechless as she enjoyed the sensation.

It seriously shouldn't feel this good. She was being groped by a tree. Nothing in dealing with the preternatural community should make her okay with this. Frisky shifters she expected. Keeping them at arm's length was no easy feat but she'd learned to do it. A tree with morning wood was a little out of her skill set.

The vines pulled her panties down her legs to join her jeans around her ankles. Darah couldn't think of a single protest for that action when one of the vines started caressing its length between her pussy lips so it brushed her channel entrance and clit.

Darah sucked in a breath and then let it out as a soft moan of pleasure. The tree had to be doing something to her. She should be protesting instead of wiggling her hips and arching her breasts forward. Tree aphrodisiac or hypo-pollen -- she needed something to explain why she pulled one foot free of her jeans and opened her legs...

Rhea shoved her car door open, grumbling and cursing under her breath. Mondays belonged in the eighth circle of Hell along with the rest of the frauds. It wasn't a real day. It was Hell visited upon Earth in the guise of a real day. That had to be the case because no one should have to endure the amount of shit she had without divine punishment being involved.

A computer crash that ate all her work, missed deadlines that had popped up at the last minute, the wrong presentation for an important client, and to top it all off, being rear-ended while trying to merge in a construction zone. Thankfully the collision had been at a slow speed and hadn't caused any damage. Rhea rubbed at the pinch in her neck that she hoped was stress and not symptomatic of a bigger problem. She'd been too pissed off to get the insurance information of the woman who'd hit her.

All Rhea wanted was a hot bath and alone time. Lots and lots of alone time where she pretended the world outside her bathroom didn't exist. She didn't even have the mental energy to lie to herself about everything being better tomorrow.

Monday -- fraud -- eighth circle of Hell. That was all there was to it. She would be raised up from Hell as soon as she baptized herself with lavender-scented bubbles and a bottle of peach rum. She was still debating whether she would drink the entire bottle or two-thirds of it.

She kicked her car door shut and headed for her apartment. Two steps from the porch she stopped. "Fucking hell!"

A little yellow notice was taped below the peephole. The words "Delinquent Payment Notice" mocked her in giant bold lettering. Delinquent payment her ass. She paid her rent the first day of the month, every month.

She snatched the letter off the door and read it quickly. "What do they mean 'check not received?' I have a fucking receipt." She yanked her phone off her hip and pushed the power button. It was past closing time for the front office. Of course. With the day she'd been having, why would the office still be open?

She would have to call in late tomorrow so she could meet the apartment manager nice and early with receipt in hand so she could clear up this matter. Something told her waiting until after work might mean she would come home to all her stuff on the front lawn.

"Rhea Valern?"

"What?" She barked the question before turning to see who had asked. She didn't care who it was. She'd had enough. No more bad news. If one more person did one more thing to her, she would lose her mind and kill everyone in a one-mile radius, so help her God.

Two men stood behind her. Both were the same height, which was several inches taller than her, and both had an imposing vibe. The man on the left wore mage robes that cloaked his body from his wide shoulders to the ground. His light brown hair was pulled into a ponytail, leaving his chiseled, clean-shaven features free to be gazed upon... and Rhea was gazing. If he was her reward for putting up with her crappy day, she gladly accepted.

The man next to the mage, who wore tight blue jeans and a half-open button-up shirt that showed his sculpted chest, was just as yummy-looking. His blond hair was cropped short and styled into a mussed-up do that looked too purposefully mussed to be anything but intentional. Light-colored stubble graced his cheeks and chin, giving him a rugged look that appealed to her. His shoulders weren't as broad as his friend's, but that didn't make him any less attractive. And then he smiled. His fangs ruined it for her.

A vampire. Not good.

Vampires didn't frequent human-populated areas, not since the docility charms had failed, and the freed vampires had fled back to their own territory after massacring their former masters. A vampire in the company of a mage had to mean bad news -- extremely bad news of which Rhea wanted no part.

The mage said, "Rhea Valern, we have come to --"

"Not interested. I've never bought a vampire before or even stepped into a store where they were sold. I'm not a mage potential. You've got the wrong girl. Go away." She turned back to her door with her key in hand to unlock her door and make a quick escape into her apartment. If the men persisted, she would call the cops. Human cops wouldn't be of much help, but there were a few mages who volunteered to handle situations like this.

"You don't understand."

"And I don't want to. Bye now." She pushed her door open, took one step and then screamed as the floor disappeared beneath her feet. Not just the floor -- the entire inside of her apartment was a void of black nothingness.

Strong arms grabbed her from behind and pulled her back, except the void started pulling her too. She screamed again. The darkness had hold of her purse and was climbing up it like a snake winding around a branch. She couldn't open her hand to drop the strap. The darkness touched her fingers and freezing pain ripped another scream from her lips.

The man holding her yelled, "Stop standing there like a dumbass and do something, mage. This is your people's shit."

"Shut up, vampire. I know my job." The mage mumbled words Rhea didn't catch. It sounded like an incantation. That was good, right? A spell would end this, right?

The void yanked her into the apartment by her arm, causing her vampire savior -- she hoped he was saving her -- to hug her waist tight as he leaned back.

"Strong fuckers. Any time, mage." He huffed against her neck and made grunting noises that said he was straining. A vampire straining? They could juggle small cars with no effort. If he was exerting that much force, Rhea's arm should have been ripped off in the tug-of-war.

Except for where the darkness touched her, she wasn't in pain. Her arm was stretched to the maximum, but it didn't hurt. A slow glow crept over her shoulder and dripped down her arm like water. It touched the darkness and the darkness... screamed? Could darkness scream?

Whatever. It didn't matter. The darkness was letting her go. Rhea jerked on her arm to hurry along the process. The glow surrounded her arm, pushing the darkness back until it released her completely.

She fell back with a yelp, landing on the vampire as they toppled to the ground.

The mage rushed by them and pulled the door shut. He chanted a few more words as he stepped back slowly. The door glowed, and white script in a language Rhea didn't recognize appeared below the peephole.

"There. I've sealed it until someone else can be summoned to close that portal properly." The mage turned to her. "Now may I tell you why we're here?"

Rhea nodded with a hard sigh. The motion pushed her breasts into the hands of the vampire. In all the confusion, she hadn't realized where he was holding her.

"Fuck!" Eric picked up a throw pillow and chucked it across the room as hard as he could. It hit the far wall and then plopped to the floor, causing no damage. Eric felt like that pillow -- decorative and superfluous.

He was the middle child of three boys. Richmond Miller, his father and the head of an apparel company worth billions, wanted to leave the presidency to the most capable son. To prove that capability, his father charged his sons to oversee smaller divisions of the company, make those divisions lucrative, and then sell them. The son who, after seven years, brought in the most money from his sale would win the presidency.

To keep his sons from competing directly and possibly interfering with each other, Richmond had told them to pick different aspects of the company. Daniel, the eldest, had gotten first pick and taken men's athletic shoes. Thanks to his basketball player endorsements, the company couldn't keep the products on the shelf. Jonas, the youngest, had followed Daniel and taken men's athletic wear. Jonas shared athletes with his brother and sometimes commercial spots.

And then there was Eric. He'd been stuck with women's apparel. He remained convinced his father was sabotaging him, since no one in his family thought he had the ability to run a company. Athletic apparel was easy. It had even turned into a fashion statement over the years. Women's fashion changed so much from one moment to the next that keeping ahead of the curve and making money seemed impossible.

Eric didn't know the first thing about women's fashion. He hardly paid attention to his own clothing choices. He bought whichever suit the clerks suggested for his medium, gym-trained build. If the occasion called for casual, he wore jeans or khakis and a single-colored cotton polo shirt. Easy.

He sighed again and shoved his hand through his short-cut black hair. It had been long once, almost to mid-back. His father had insisted he cut it so Eric would present a more businesslike appearance.

That hadn't been the end of the suggestions. And by suggestions, he meant orders. Richmond hadn't sugarcoated his words. He wanted Eric to act more like him, the way Eric's brothers did. Trying to emulate his father had given Eric an ulcer before his doctor ordered him to stop.

That was Eric. Good at taking orders. His brothers always told him he would make a great vice president, someone in the background who took care of the little things while someone else handled the big decisions. He didn't think they were wrong, though he would never admit it aloud.

He startled when a sleek black cat hopped on his lap. Simone. He'd taken her in seven months ago when he found her cold and starving in one of his warehouses. He'd never had a pet before, and some whim made him decide to make her the first.

Pets were supposed to be soothing and help relieve stress. Or so Eric had read. Simone was a great stress reliever, but he wasn't in the mood today. He scooped his hand under her belly and gave her a toss. "Not now."

The cat glared at him from where she landed. Her tail sliced the air as it switched back and forth.
"I had a bad day. All right? Sales are shitty. The employees aren't happy so customer service is being affected. The seven year deadline is almost over, and my father is probably going to stick me with this sinking ship just to teach me a lesson. How am I supposed to impress Heather's father when I'm two steps away from poverty?"

Heather was the girl Eric had liked since high school. Unfortunately, his brothers liked her too. She'd been stringing all three along since they met, never committing to one over the others. She also happened to be the daughter of the president of the company with which Richmond wanted to merge. A marriage would grease the wheels of that merger, so Richmond had encouraged his boys to pursue Heather. The brothers had come to the agreement that whoever won the seven-year trial would also win Heather. The other two brothers would back off.

Eric no longer wanted Heather. Life had introduced him to a woman more suited to him that he loved beyond distraction. He did still want Heather's company, but that dream was going down with the ship that was his failing company.

Simone continued glaring at him.

He yelled, "What?"

With a soft growl, Simone left the room.

"Shit." Eric got up and chased after her, following her to the bedroom. "Simone. Simone, wait. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. Simone?" He looked around the room but didn't see her. Going to his knees, he looked under the bed.

When he sat back, he startled at the sight of the woman standing on the other side of the bed from him. "Simone?"

Her emerald green eyes flashed with her anger. She had her fists planted against her wide hips with her legs spread apart in a classic pissed-off stance.

Eric knew he'd screwed up when he yelled at her but he couldn't bring himself to be that worried about it since Simone was naked. She'd shifted from cat to human, and clothes didn't come with the shift.

FANTASY VS REALITY by Zenobia Renquist

FANTASY VS REALITY by Zenobia Renquist

When the line between fantasy and reality is erased, the real fun begins.

Stacy hates benefit dinners -- fake smiles and empty conversation with people she can barely tolerate. Good thing she has her imagination to keep her occupied with sexual fantasies involving the other guests. As the night wears on her imaginings become more vivid and it gets harder to tell where fantasy ends and reality begins.

Nick slipped his hand around her waist and steered her away. "Honey, there's a hors d'oeuvres buffet. You missed lunch, right? Go get a snack."

She looked in the direction he indicated. Several people gathered around a long table of varied finger foods and pre-poured drinks. "Looks delicious. Did you want anything?"

"Surprise me." He kissed her cheek and gave her butt a pat.

His jealous attitude made her smile. Typical Nick. He loved when she wore outfits that showed off her body so people could see how good he had it, but that love waned when people's interest lingered longer than it should... especially on her breasts. Nick loved her breasts. She'd gotten the dress for that reason.

He would be so hot and bothered by the time they got home that he wouldn't waste the time to get to the bedroom before unzipping her. With the kids visiting their grandparents this weekend, that all but guaranteed sex against the front door and on the couch and possibly the coffee table.

Nick would be in top form and employing every trick to get her in a better mood after having to put up with his coworkers. Thinking about it made her panties wet. This evening couldn't end fast enough for her.

A man bumped Stacy as he turned from the buffet table. Sauce from the small plate he carried dripped onto the swell of one of Stacy's breasts. She made a perturbed noise and backed up a step, bumping a second person and not caring.

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I should have looked before I turned," the man said. "At least it missed the dress, right?" He gave a strained chuckle and then cleared his throat. "Here. Let me uh... get... uh... Excuse me." He leaned over and put his plate down before reaching past Stacy.

She thought he would grab a napkin so she could get the sauce before it dripped between her breasts. A surprised squeak escaped her mouth when he slipped an arm around her waist and held her close as he ducked his head. His hot mouth landed on her skin, followed by his tongue. He licked her skin, removing the sauce and sending Stacy's libido into overdrive.

She leaned back with her hands on his shoulders prepared to push him away. Her fingers bunched into the shoulders of his suit, pulling him closer as he trailed his mouth to the edge of her dress.

He said in a husky voice, feathering his breath across her skin, "I think I got it all, but I better check to be sure. You don't want to be sticky."

"No, I don't."

His tongue returned, delving between her breasts, as he scooped one hand into her dress and edged it down. Her breasts bounced when the dress gave way and exposed her nipples to the cool air. They hardened, begging for attention as the man worked his mouth down between her breasts and then to the side. When he took one nipple into his mouth, Stacy let out in a soft moan.

He circled his tongue around the hard nub and then flicked it before sucking at it. Stacy arched into his mouth with her leg riding his hip. A hard bulge in his pants pressed against her clit, exciting her more. Shifting her hips in a slight side-to-side motion, she rubbed her pussy against him.

The hand he had around her waist moved lower, slipping into the opening of her dress so he cupped her ass. Oh, yes. She was very happy she'd bought this dress. Easy access made everything better faster.

The man released her nipple with a soft pop and met her gaze. "Maybe you should do it instead."

Stacy blinked a few times and reality reasserted itself. The man stood with a napkin held out to her and a sheepish expression that made him appear younger than he probably was. She snatched the napkin from him and dabbed at the sauce, getting to it right before it started dripping between her breasts.

"Sorry again." He retrieved his plate and walked away.

"Wow." Alex's awe-filled voice filtered past the dressing room door. She swung it open and exited like a model strutting down the runway. "This is gorgeous."

"See?" Danette shook her head. "All that fussing for nothing."

"Yes, yes. You were right. I was wrong. I bow to your expertise."

"You used to bow to my expertise before you went and got yourself married and pregnant. Now you think being away from me for a few months gives you the right to talk back. I know you, Alex, and I know your style. You used to trust me with stuff like this all the time."

Before becoming the bride of Santa Claus, Alex had been an exotic dancer, and Danette had been her manager. Danette had been in charge of everything from Alex's clothing to her music, sometimes even choreographing Alex's dance routines. They'd become best friends because Alex trusted Danette completely. "I still do."

"Then why are you giving me such a hard time about all this?"

Alex grinned and stuck out the tip of her tongue. "I love it when you get all stern and stuff."

"You're a closet masochist."

The woman shrugged before she started twirling so her skirt billowed around her.

Danette stepped close to Alex and said in a low voice, "I made sure the skirt was made of enough wrinkle-resistant material so it could be bunched up for easy access."

"I love you, Danette. You know me so well."

Noel cleared his throat. From the light blush dusting his cheeks, Danette guessed he'd heard her. Her gaze went to his pointed ears. They resembled normal ears in size and length but with a little point at the top. The size and shape of the ears was a distinguishing feature between elves, which Noel was, and fey like Kris. Danette had been told there were others, but that was the easiest to identify.

He said, "I shall inform sire of the good news." He bowed and then left the room.

Alex scrunched her nose in his direction. "Such a prude, that one."

"He's fine. You're the one who's got no morals."

"I'm also the one who made the Aurora Borealis outshine the stars."

"Yes, you did. Meteorologists around the world are still freaking out about it. If you and Kris could have sex on a regular schedule, that might lessen the panic in the human population."

"Regular and sex should never be in the same sentence. Sex should be spontaneous and hot, just the way Kris and I like it."

"Why do I get the feeling that's the way you like it, and Kris is just following your bad example?"

"Naughty example. Get it right."

"Kris is right. You are going to be chronicled as the worst Mrs. Claus ever."

"I don't care what everyone else thinks. Kris loves me, and the way I am gets results. Speaking of results, how's it going with your other problem child?"

"Oh, don't even ask about him."

Alex referred to the other reason Kris had hired Danette. Kris's identical twin brother Spir, who was also known as the Spirit of Christmas. Spir and Kris were identical in every single way except for their hair. Spir's was black and waist length. The black clothing Spir swathed himself in was the reason he was Danette's second project. Kris hoped Danette could convince his brother to wear clothing more fitting his station, hoping a color change might somehow improve Spir's mood.

Danette doubted changing his color scheme would change him. Kris and Spir were day and night, physically and mentally. Kris smiled easily and had a good humor about everything, even his wife's antics. Spir prowled around the winter palace snapping at everyone and cussing up a storm. Danette never had trouble finding him. She just followed the sounds of horrified gasps and fleeing women.

She didn't know how other Spirits of Christmas had acted, but Danette was sure Spir would be remembered as the worst. How someone with his attitude could bring good cheer and brotherly love to anyone was a mystery to her. But then, this would be his first year on the job. His uncle, black-haired identical twin to Kris and Spir's father, had held the job prior.

That was how the House of Kringle worked. When twins were born, and they weren't born often, their hair color decided who donned the mantle of Santa Claus and who became the Spirit of Christmas. Danette didn't find that fair, and Spir's attitude denoted he didn't either.

But she'd been hired to do a job. She would do it even if Spir avoided her and yelled at her on the few occasions when she managed to corner him. They were at a stalemate, but she had a trap planned today. Christmas was a few days away. Even if a change of clothing didn't help Spir's attitude, Danette wanted to know she had tried.

Lulu left the room without looking back. It was taking all her willpower not to cry along with him. Voda had been her home and her family for so many years. She had worked from the ground up to become a part of upper management. She thought she might even sit in Stan's seat one day. If working at Voda wouldn't be seen as a conflict of interests, she would never give up her job.

But it wasn't like she wouldn't be working. Her talents would be used at Onsen to help her new family grow bigger and brighter. She waved to people who called out goodbyes as she left the building. When the glass exit doors slid closed behind her, she breathed in a deep, cleansing breath.

"Finished?"

Lulu smiled at Hotsuma, who stood against his limo looking suave, wearing a dark gray business suit that showed off his lean, muscled physique. His black hair was slicked back with mousse to hide the awkward in-between stage of being past his ears but not quite to his shoulders. A pair of dark, fitted shades completed the powerful businessman look that made Lulu's heart rate increase. "Yes."

"That took longer than I thought."

"Stan was crying."

"Were you?"

"No."

He walked forward and placed his palm against her cheek. "Not yet."

"Don't say that or I'll start." She wanted to push his hand away but stepped closer to him and laid her head against his shoulder.

He patted her head, burying his fingers in the thick curls of her loose Afro. "I'm sorry. I know how much Voda means to you."

"I'll be fine. In a few months, I'll be totally okay."

"I told you I could negotiate a merger with them and then you could stay."

She shook her head. "No. I won't do that to Stan or Voda. The competition with Onsen is what keeps it striving to be the best. If the two merged, then Voda would suffer, even with your powers."

Hotsuma was a living good luck charm -- an ageman. Because of his powers, his family and all of his family's businesses in the US and Japan prospered. They might have prospered without his powers, but having them was a guarantee. No strife had ever touched the Mizuno family thanks to Hotsuma and those before him who had held the ageman power.

"As you wish." He wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Let's go home."

Lulu leaned against him as the limo drove them away from her old life toward her new one. She didn't regret choosing Hotsuma over Voda. Nothing could ever make her regret that. But her heart still ached.

Hotsuma cupped her cheek and held her as he lowered his lips to hers. She welcomed his kiss and took comfort in it. But his hand on her breast made her pull back. "We're in the limo."

"I know." He patted his free hand behind him and pressed a button. The dividing window between the driver and the back slid in place. "There."

"That's not very private."

"It's private enough."

"Hotsuma, this isn't right." She said that but didn't try to fight him when he pulled her across his lap and situated her knees on either side of his hips.

"Now it is." He rubbed her clit through her lace panties. "And this wetness tells me you think so too."
"You are the expert on wet things."

"Yes, I am." Edging her panties aside, he slipped two fingers into her hole. "Very right."

She nodded as she bit her lip and started moving her hips so she slid against his fingers. "Oh, so right."

Hotsuma unzipped his pants and freed his hard dick. After he scooted to the edge of the seat, he held her panties to the side with one hand and guided her down onto his length with the other.

Lulu sighed. All her sadness slipped away as pleasure took its place. "The driver deserves a raise for putting up with this."

"Once he hears the way I make you scream, he'll get one."

She smacked his chest in a playful manner. "That's not what I meant."

"I'll give him a bonus in his next paycheck. Happy?"

"I guess that'll work."

"Good. Now, then." He hugged her waist, bringing her closer and pushing his hard arousal deeper.
She giggled when he used his teeth to unbutton her shirt and edged one of her nipples free of her underbust bra with the tip of his tongue. The man had skills. She loved when he used them on her. He flicked and suckled her nipple while moving her hips so she rode him.

The car hit a bump that made his tip bounce against the innermost part of her, sending a shot of pleasure through her body and making her moan loudly.

Hotsuma rumbled, "That's the way. Let him hear you. He needs to earn that bonus."

"I don't want him to hear me."

"Tough." He started bucking his hips and sucked hard at one nipple while he tweaked the other.
Lulu couldn't help the passionate sounds that left her lips. The driver had to be able to hear her. He had to. Even through the dividing window. That would explain why it felt like he was hitting every pothole and bump in the road. If she didn't know better, she would think Hotsuma and the driver had conspired to work together so she came harder and faster.

Two men at once. The thought of it sent a thrill through her body that heightened the sensation of Hotsuma rubbing inside her. He gripped her ass, moving her so she took his full length with every stroke...

Tawnie could hear them on the stairs. Her boys. They were never quiet. Always cracking jokes about who would go first and making bets on who could last until the end. So far Jason remained the reigning champion.

Jason.

She squirmed, rubbing her thighs together to soothe the anticipatory ache that made her pussy tingle. Jason always invaded her thoughts when she wanted to get herself off in a big way. He was the athletic sort who lived in the gym. The results had her sitting in a wet spot every time she saw him. She envied his wife, a woman equally obsessed with exercise, though Jason's wife looked very much like a woman who went for weights more than aerobics -- next to zero body fat and all muscle.

Tawnie had it on good authority that Jason liked his women a little soft, with curves he could hold. He and his wife enjoyed a terrible sex life. But that explained why Jason always visited Tawnie.

She smoothed her hands down her sides and over her thighs, enjoying the feel of the silk, fur-lined robe wrapped around her body. A bark of laughter made her smile to herself.

Doug.

His looks were the polar opposite of Jason's. An ex-military man, Doug had let himself go the moment he got out. But he still remained a gentleman. That was his charm. He worshipped a woman with his amethyst eyes and made her feel special, like royalty come to life. And Tawnie did have a habit of bringing him to his knees.

Another married man. But even a man as good as Doug had moments of weakness. In fact, all her boys were married men. And each one had shown up for a Friday night poker tournament two hours early just to see her.

Ben knocked twice at the bedroom door. He was the gatekeeper, but then, it was his bedroom. Ben never stayed, though. He let the boys in and then took off until everyone had finished. He was the only one of the bunch not married and never had been. So far as Tawnie knew, he never wanted to be.

He opened the door enough so he could see in but the others couldn't and asked, "Ready?"

She blew him a kiss as her answer.

Lamon didn’t know what Theron was getting at. They should be planning, not comparing notes. “He said there would be a cease-fire until you meet with him.”
“And then after that, he said he knew I would come because he has something that belongs to me.”
“Medusa.”
“Exactly. He’s using her as bait for this trap.”
“At least you believe it to be a trap.”
“I’m not stupid, Lamon. This could be nothing else. By killing the vampire elders, I have shown myself to be the most powerful vampire. If they take me out then our kind will falter and eventually lose the war.”
“All the more reason for you not to go.”
“All the more reason for me to go. He has Medusa. I saved her from one madman. I won’t leave her with another.”
Lamon agreed. “I’m coming with you.”
“No. You’re staying put.”
“Of course. That’s sound. In case you need someone to retrieve you. Who will you take in my stead?”
“I’m taking no one because I’m going alone. And you’re staying put so you can take care of your wife. She needs you now more than me.”
“Bullshit. Theron, you’re talking crazy. You can’t meet the mage king alone. You saw his power. You’d be walking into your own death.”
“I have no intention of dying.”
Sicily snapped, “What about Ryver?”
“And hello to you too, Sicily,” Theron said with dry humor.
“Cut the crap. You’re leaving Ryver alone to go play cops and robbers. What happens if you die? What happens to Ryver? She’s tied to your life.”
“I won’t die, and I think I should be insulted that you both think so little of my powers.”
Sicily sliced her hand across the air in a dismissive gesture. “Where’s Ryver? I want to hear what she has to say about all this. Put her on.”
“Ryver is sleeping.”
“Like hell. There’s no way she would sleep through something this big. What did you do to her? If you hurt her, so help me, I’ll kick your ass. Put her on now.”
Theron’s dark eyes bled to black to match his shoulder-length hair and the square goatee that covered his jaw. He moved closer to the communication spell. Lamon put his arm out to shield Sicily from what he knew was coming but a flick of Theron’s hand sent Lamon careening into the far wall of the cabin, pinned there and helpless.
Sicily squirmed as though trying to get out of someone’s hold, because she was. Theron had probably wrapped a binding spell around her.
Theron said with his voice full of menace, “You are new, Sicily, and have a lot to learn. But you will learn this one lesson quickly. No one commands me. I rule you, not the other way around. Do you understand me?”
Sicily squeaked with pain before nodding quickly. The power that held her released and she slumped forward with several gasping breaths. Lamon also found himself able to move. He was equal parts angry and happy Theron had bound him. If he hadn’t been bound, Lamon would have gone through the communication spell and beaten Theron for daring to harm Sicily.

Her heart thundered in her chest. The deafening bu-bump drowned out all other noise. She knew the people staring at her could hear it. She only needed to do a quick introduction. Really quick. Open her mouth, spit it out, and it would be done. She really hated public speaking.

"My name is Rosaline, and I will be your server, voyeur, and touchstone this evening. Should you need any refreshments, food of any kind, or props please feel free to call on me. For those who like to be watched, I am happy to oblige." She swallowed a little before uttering the last, wondering desperately why she had to say it at all.

"My body is bared for you all to touch as you like, though you can only use your hands. There will be no scratching and nothing that is intended to cause pain. My pussy --" She almost stumbled saying the word. "-- and ass are open for fingering, but please know that I am an anal virgin."

She bowed her head, happy to have an excuse not to look at the crowd any longer. "Thank you for attending Guardian's soiree. I hope you enjoy your evening."

She, a human, was out of her mind telling a room full of preternatural beings from all walks of life what they could and could not do with her body. Most of them could break her with a flick of their pinky finger.

Beside her, Guardian laid her hand on Rosaline's bare shoulder. "Good girl."

Rosaline said, in a low voice though the audience could probably hear her, "I still don't understand why you couldn't tell them. They listen to you."

"You created those rules when you decided you wanted to attend. You have to tell them. They may be infinitely more powerful than you, but you are the one who has the right to say no.
What's more, they have to heed that." Guardian patted Rosaline's shoulder once more. "Now then. Time to be groped. Go mingle and do as you told them you would."

Rosaline's whole body flushed.

It was time. The thing she had been anticipating the whole week long had finally arrived. She took one step forward and felt her four-inch heels wobble a little before stabilizing. The heels were two inches higher than she liked, but her friends had insisted the fire-engine red stilettos made Rosaline's legs look hot.

That was a good thing, since she didn't feel the same way about the rest of her body. One month prior to even asking Guardian about attending the party as a server, Rosaline had spent every free moment exercising. Mornings she did cardio, she had a mini-stair stepper to use while at her desk, and she spent the evenings using the machines at the gym. She'd even put herself on a strict diet of green vegetables, fruit, and fish -- baked, not fried. All of it in hopes of looking good while standing in a room full of preternaturals whose naturally fast metabolisms kept them looking like swimsuit models for sports magazines with no effort.

All her work had paid off. She had dropped from a size ten to a size eight. She could fit a size six if she knew she wouldn't be bending and felt like holding her breath while sitting. But clothing size didn't matter that evening since she couldn't wear anything to cover her little flaws with the perfect outfit that showed off all her hard work. The attire of the evening consisted of heels and a matching collar sporting a coin that proclaimed the servers as Guardian's property. Guardian allowed the men to go barefoot, if they preferred, which most of them did.

Rosaline rubbed the coin as a way to calm her nerves.

Guardian's property.

That meant no one could run off with Rosaline without Guardian's permission. There were a few servers who didn't have the coin. They wanted someone to run off with them. Rosaline wasn't that brave or stupid. She wanted a little taste of the world she'd only glimpsed from behind her desk. After that, she would go back to her mundane life with a fond memory.

She continued forward into the crowd. Her whole body hummed with the awareness that any second someone would touch her bare skin. The touch could be brief or prolonged depending on the mood of the one touching her.

The first table she passed was a group of vampires watching two women and two men having sex on the tabletop. Only one woman at the table glanced Rosaline's way. Rosaline gave the woman a small smile, but the gesture wasn't reciprocated. The woman turned her attention back to the table's entertainment.

Rosaline passed by a group of shifted were-hyenas who seemed to be playing a highly sexualized version of monkey in the middle with the person in the middle of the group trying to avoid domination from those who entered the circle.

She stopped and watched.

One man entered the circle. He tried his attack but was soon on the receiving end of a very vigorous ass pounding. He managed to throw off the other male, who left the circle with a smug sounding, hissing laugh that reminded her of the cartoon villain dog from her childhood -- mutt-something or other. The male exiting the circle winked at Rosaline before turning his back on her so he faced the defeated.

A second entered the circle. A woman this time. She managed to overpower the male as well. Though when she flipped him on his back so she could avail herself of his dick, it didn't seem like much of a punishment for losing.

Rosaline shrugged, shook her head, and moved on. Like the two groups before, most everyone occupied themselves with their own distractions, pretty much ignoring her. That disappointed her more than a little. She had spent the whole day psyching herself up to being groped by a room full of strangers.

A quick glance around the room showed the other five servers were receiving the same treatment. Was this normal? Maybe the patrons of the party liked to play with each other before molesting the staff.

"Here, girl."

Rosaline looked around. Two men occupied a booth off in the corner of the room. The man with his hand raised had to be the one who had called out to her. She walked over to him with a smile. "You called for me, sir?"

Voss watched the woman struggling through the snow and shook his head. She shouldn't have traveled so far from civilization without a snowmobile or a guide. The cold had a way of sneaking up on people who weren't used to or prepared for it. With thick padding, she looked prepared enough, but the stiff way she moved indicated she wasn't used to cold.

He kept pace with her, though she didn't see him. She was too focused on walking, plus his white coat helped him blend with his surroundings. The woman made him curious. She had his medallion, and he wanted to know why, though not enough to make himself known.

Not yet.

When she got closer to the resort and other people, he planned to change to his human form and help her. His presence wouldn't seem strange then. He would be a passerby who'd noticed her plight and decided to help. Besides, there wasn't much he could do for her out in the middle of nowhere. She needed heat.

She faltered and then pitched face first into the snow. Voss waited. He inched forward. One step. Two steps. She wasn't moving. Not a good sign.

He rushed forward and pushed at her shoulder with his nose. She didn't budge. Definitely not a good sign. A change of plans was in order.

He shifted to human, clothed in jeans and waist-length winter coat that zipped up to his nose. The shifter ability to materialize clothing when they changed from animal to human came in handy at times like this. No awkward nudity to explain away. With a little concentration, he produced a large fur cloak, as well. After wrapping the woman in it, he slung her over his shoulder and started jogging back to the resort. "You better appreciate this, missy," he grumbled.

His burden remained silent. He ran faster. Once he neared the resort, he paused long enough to find the woman's room key. The plastic card didn't have anything on it except the hotel's logo. He hated modern technology. In the old days, resorts and hotels had used keys attached to tags that stated the room number.

"Have to do this the old fashioned way." He inhaled deep, catching the woman's soft scent of coconuts on the wind. He followed the scent straight to her room where he laid her on the bed so he could get her clothing off.

He got no further than removing her jacket before he stopped and stood back, regarding her face. "Well now. Isn't this a pleasant surprise? Very interesting."

The black beauty lying unconscious before him was a familiar face. One he'd thought never to see again. He knew her eyes, when she opened them, would be a soft amber color that shone with flecks of gold when she was happy and when she was excited.

Memories of her excitement and its effect on him haunted his dreams. He hurried and removed the rest of her clothing. She hadn't changed. Breasts that filled his hands and made him want to suck them at every moment. Full hips he knew made the perfect handles to hold his lover steady for his intrusion. An ass he just wanted to bite or smack depending on his mood.

The direction of his thoughts had him hard and heavy, wanting to bury his dick deep and wake her up to his passion. He wouldn't. He couldn't. But it was very tempting.

He pushed an errant strand of straightened black hair from her forehead before he ran a single finger down her cheek. He indulged a smirk. "Very, very interesting."

The chill of her skin got him back on task. He removed the rest of her clothing, put her beneath the covers, and then got in the bed beside her. With a thought, his clothes disappeared. He pulled the woman close, holding her against his chest.

"Do me a favor and don't scream when you wake up," he said in a low voice, not expecting a response but needing to say the words.

It would be a while before she woke up. He shifted a little, getting comfortable so he could catch a nap until his little burden regained consciousness. Human bodies were too awkward, especially when they were aroused. In his fox form, he could curl up and be asleep in no time. This woman's explanation better make his stint in this form worth it.
